Given how long truffles have enjoyed a revered place in epicurean history, their cultivation commenced surprisingly late.
You will receive a fresh, clean, properly graded and labelled truffle with assured provenance, directly purchased from our farm.
Add your truffle to a jar filled with Arborio rice for 2-3 days to give your risotto yet another dimension and lift it to dizzying aromatic heights!
Ganymede is located in New South Wales in the Southern Tablelands just outside Marulan with the name chosen after a course in astronomy at the Sydney Observatory. The first trufferie was planted in 2009. In a leap of faith, we planted a second in 2011. Altogether we have just under 900 trees on 2.5 hectares.
Truffles are fantastic, best we have had is the opinion of the team.
If you’re a foodie and you’re into truffles – and who isn’t – let me tell you about Ganymede Truffles. These wonderfully fragrant truffles are grown in the Southern Tablelands, and in my opinion, having visited France, are as full of aroma and taste as their French cousins. And the good news is you can easily order online and have them delivered to your door. Truly delicious.
Tasting the Ganymede truffles took me straight back to France. Clean, aromatic and consistent in flavour, they are highly recommended. Being sourced locally is a great advantage as they are fresh and not subjected to long travel time.
We found the quality of the Ganymede black perigord truffle comparable to truffle we’ve eaten in France. Highly aromatic ,full of flavour great to have this available so close to home.
